Locally described as ‘Paul Bunyan’s Bowling Ball’, this perfectly spherical boulder was unearthed in 1998 from the Anderson’s Sand and Gravel pit east of Drayton Valley. The boulder weighs an amazing 16,583 kg and was donated to the Drayton Valley & District Historical Society. It is currently on display at the entrance to the museum grounds just off Hwy #22.
